I bought this device after watching some footage shot from a remote control plane with the camera attatched to the underside. I was very impressed, but sceptical that such a little (and cheap) device could give such good quality. Once i did some resarch on the web, i found many people chatting about it and posting their own videos shot from it. And boy there were so many different uses for it.
I ride motorbikes and i did a little test footage on my way home and have to admit i was quite pleased. I think this would be good for people who do track days and want their own on-board footage. I can buy 3 of these, place them around my bike and still pay considerably less than a some of the purpose built cameras i had looked at.
I work for a TV company and was showing one of our cameramen the footage i had shot and the device. He was very suprised at it and is considering one for himself as an addition to the cam he uses whilst doing his sports (paragliding, skiing, etc)
It may not be HD broadcast quality, but i havent found anything out there yet that perform like this little fella. It will certainly make very good, high quality videos for all to enjoy.
There ar many different versions of this camera but make sure you get the #11 model as this is the one i have reviewed.

Only one i can think of would be that when the iris detects a change in the light, it doesnt seem to adjust smoothly, but to be honest, unless your a professional,it not an issue. A professional probably would look at this anyway
Overall a top gadget in my mind and i am extremely happy with it. I am definitly buying a couple more for when i next do a track day...........and possibly gifts for other biking mates

After reading about the standard definition versions of this camera and seeing some of the videos online I thought I'd give this a try. The main purpose of the camera for me will be recording some driving every now and again as well keeping the camera in my pocket should I ever need a good quality video recording device elsewhere.
The camera itself arrived a lot sooner than expected. It came with a range of instructions which were all pretty similar and for the most part easily understandable, I read somewhere that they weren't written in the best of English but they were far from the worst instructions I've read. The camera is easy to use anyway, even if you don't look at the instructions. I charged the camera up a bit, inserted a SanDisk 8GB MicroSD card and stuck the camera (with the provided sticky pad) to the dashboard of my car for a quick test.
The colours are OK and the frame rate seems pretty consistent, I live in a rural-ish area and even with the sun flickering through the trees in the video I only noticed a very minimal decrease in frame rate. It's not going to be the best camera money can buy obviously, but for the price and for its main purpose (for me) it does a very good job. I can't really comment on the sound as I've only tried the camera out in my car and from inside my car you can only really hear road noise more than anything else. There is a slight static noise which is present in a few videos on YouTube, apparently this is caused by the ignition coil in cars, it can easily be edited out with video editing software or apparently mounting the camera in different ways also reduces the static noise, it's not that bad anyway and I'm personally not too bothered by it.

The quality is really good both visually and sound, considering the size and cost.
I tested it at night as well as during the day, daytime obviously has better lighting, and at night all brightness considered still worked well for the cost and what it is, a good purchase.
the only thing i can pick at is the lack of buttons and operation lights. - sometimes you wouldnt know if its recording or not as there is no tell tale light, and the same button is used to start / stop recording. - other than this though its a brilliant little gadget at a fraction of a go pro.

Very good product, appears to be sturdy. Reasonably easy to fit in my 8GB micro SD card. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the Velcro and the car charger, the latter of which will unfortunately not be used as it is not needed.

Overall a solid spy camera in 720p HD. The seller was very good, and the item was delivered the next day. In my opinion that is worth the £5 delivery charge, especially since they put a note in the package explaining why delivery costs were so high (compulsory from Amazon). Don't be put off by the delivery cost and by inferior models! This is what you want!

The 808#11 camera can have an issue with colour balance shifting. Despite this it’s a rugged dependable camera that has survived many flights on my RC plane. When I asked the vendor (DTY Trading) for technical support on the camera and the colour balance issue, they promptly changed the camera for a #18 pre-flashed to remove the date stamp.
