I bought this camera to replace the Loftek Sentinel D1 PTZ camera which has been relocated to the back of the house. It is quite a bit larger than the Sentinel, and quite a bit more in terms of cost; however, the extra money is well spent. The auto-focus alone on the camera justifies the price hike and it is also the PTZ mechanism is very quick to engage - maybe a little too quick at the default settings, and it also comes with all the options you would expect - emailing pictures based on movement, ftp, etc. .

I have both PTZ cameras connected to Blue Iris software loaded on my PC, so I am not using the inbuilt software; however, I have used it before and it works well.

Installation is quite straight forward especially if, like the previous reviewer mentioned, you make use of the powerline kit and run the power over the ethernet cable.

One thing I would advise is to mount the camera high up, especially if you plan on using the zoom-in functions to the max.

Overall then, a great quality PTZ camera - it is expensive when compared to something like the Loftek Sentinel D1 but it really is money well spent.
