going by the few previous reviews I purchased this cctv camera.
It arrived from China within the time estimate,and was well packaged.
First impressions,it looks a good quality finish [time will tell],and isn't too big or heavy. The daytime colour image has very good sharpness,contrast and white balance,and there is no 'bleached out' dazzling glare,when the sun moves round into the camera's direct view. The nighttime IR switch to B/W does degrade slightly,as do all [but the most expensive IR camera's],but it still gives enough detail with a good but narrow IR spread of around approx.12ft wide,40ft long in my pitch black garden [this could improve by adjusting the 2.8-12mm lens,which is currently at the factory setting of approx. 4mm.
Last night I did a 'walk-by' test,to see if I could ID myself,and was delighted to see that I clearly could. There is the option of On Screen picture refinement adjustments via the button built into the short camera lead. I haven't used this function as I make adjustments with my Geovision system. I would rate the picture quality as -daytime 5 stars,nighttime 4 stars.

I've never set up a wildlife camera before so I've nothing to compare this to. It seems good to me, however. Filmed foxes, hedgehogs and a badger in my garden in total darkness in the first week.
The variable zoom is really useful. You only need to focus it once for any zoom position and everything is then in focus from the far distance to surprisingly close up.
I was starting from scratch, and the camera comes with no other kit, so I spent time getting the whole system sorted. If you want to use this as a wildlife camera feeding to a computer, you might like to check out the things I discovered to do this: EzCap USB video capture device (available on Amazon); a 12 volt adaptor (available on Amazon); CCTV cable that includes both the video cable and a power cable (available on Amazon) - I've taken the camera to 40 metres from the computer with no observable loss of quality; iSpy: Open Source Camera Security Software - this is free (if you don't want the Internet capability) and is magic. The motion detection capability of the software is key to filming badgers at 2.00 am. - just Google it. The camera is actually designed to be attached to a wall, but I built a mount from wood to allow it to be attached to a tripod. I've got it running in different locations every night now so I don't miss those roller skating pandas!

I was impressed by the quality build & comes with instructions & all fittings required..it can see in low light but changes to black & white ( colour in daylight) & is adjustable via a joystick attached to the cable. I installed the camera quite easily a few days ago & I'm very pleased with the high quality of it. I intend buying another camera at a later date..
