This camera is an excellent bit of kit. Not only does it capture what is occurring outside the vehicle in front, but also within the vehicle itself. If ever a camera was built with TRUE road safety in mind it is this type of equipment. This is the same principle as a black box within aircraft. As a Senior Crash Investigator there are three aspects to investigate after any collision and to discount one by one. That is firstly the Environment, then the vehicle and lastly the driver. All these aspects within 99% are achievable with the use of this type of camera system. I have used such a device on both our vehicles and with other camera equipment fitted such as Vascar. I would earnestly advise all drivers to fit such a device. Insurance companies cannot then scam the driver by making out you are 50% to blame when in reality you are the innocent party. Recently we were able to show and Prove to an Insurance Company the driver was the INNOCENT party with the use of this device. Whereas had such information not been available they would have ridden slip shod over her. Cover yourself and also stick out for a reduction in your premium if you do fit such a device. I agree with previous review, I bought mine directly off the company, a very good buy, it has everything you need if there is an incident. records speed, inertia if you stop suddenly and gps for your location.
I have had no problems with it, it does not have its own battery as it is not needed, just plug it in.
Adjustments are done on computer via SD card, there is a wired button to press to record something you don't want overwritten, that records 3 minutes per press, the button can be positioned where you want it.
